- a. பெண்குறியின் மேற் பக்கம் அதாவது அடிவயிற்றின் கீழ், மேகனப் பொருத்துவாயின் மேல், சாதாரணமாய்ச் சவ்வுகளினால் ஆகிய மிருதுவான நிணமேடு, பருவ காலத்தில் இது மயிரால் மூடப்பட்டிருக்கும்.

1. அடியிற் கண்டபடிப் பெண்களின் வெளி சனன உறுப்புகள் முழுவதையும் குறிக்கும் ஓர் பொதுப் பெயர், as memtioned below, it is common term for all the external organs of generation in a female.
1. அடிவயிற்றின் கீழ், எலும்பின் மேற்படிந்து மிருதுவாயுள்ள நிணமேடு, a rounded prominence at the symphysis pubis of a woman – Mons veneris.
2. நிதம்பங்கள் அவையாவன; the lipshaped organs viz.
a. பேரிதழ், அல்குல்வின் தோல் மடிந்து நீண்டு இருபக்கமும் அமைந்துள்ள உதட்டைப் போன்ற உறுப்பு, the hairy fold of the skin like the lip on either side of the slit of the vulva – Labium majus.
b. சிற்றிதழ், பேரிதழின் உட்பாகத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள சளிச்சவ்வினால் ஆக்கப்பட்ட சிறிய உதடுகள், the small folds of the mucous membrane within No.2 – Labium minus alias Nympha.
3. சமரி, கடிதடத்திற்கு அடியில் நரம்புணர்ச்சியுள்ள சிறிய நீண்ட கூர்மையான உறுப்பு, a small, elongated erectile body situated at the anterior angle of the vulva, just below no.2
4. புழுக்கை, சுமரிக்கு கீழ் உள்ள உதடுகளின் மத்தியிலிருக்கும் பிளப்பு, the space below the clitoris and between labium minus or nympha in No.2(b) – Vestibule of the vulva.
5. வடிசம் அல்லது அல்குற் கவை, அதாவது பெண் குறியின் பேரிதழ் பிற்பகத்தில் மடிந்துள்ள சளி சவ்வு, the fold of the mucous membrane at the posterior junction of the labium manjus in No.2 (a) – Fourchette.
6. சந்திர நாடி, யோனி வாயிலின் வெளிப்புறத்தில் உதடுகளின் உட்பக்கம் படிந்து மூடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் சவ்வு. இதற்கு கன்னி முத்திரை என்றும் பெயர், the membranous fold which closes tightly the external orifice of the vagina – Hymen.
7. பகம் – மல வாயிலுக்கும் அல்குல் கவைக்கும் மத்தியிலுள்ள பாகம், the space or the area between the anus and the genital organs – Perineum.
8. நீர்த் துவாரம் – யோனி வாயிலுக்கும் சுமரிக்கும் இடையே உள்ள மூத்திரத் துவாரம், urethral orifice.
9. பூப்பக வாயில் – நீர்த் துவாரத்துக்குக் கீழாக அகண்டாகாரமாய் இருக்கும் துவாரம், the external vaginal opening just below the urethral orifice - Os externum.
