அண்ட நோய்

விதை வாதம் - Hydrocele.
குடலண்டநோய் - Hernia.
பொதுவாகப் பிடுக்கில் வரும் நோய் - Any disease of the testicle or the scrotum.
NOTE: 1. இது குடலண்டம், குமுறலண்டம், நீரண்டம், தசையண்டம் என நான்கு வகைப்படும். It is of four different kinds viz.
i. One in which the bowels descend into the scrotum – Hernia.
ii. One in which the bowels enlarge the scrotum. It is attended with gurgling sound.
iii. One in which fluid or blood is collected into the scrotum – Hydrocele or Hematocele.
iv. One accompanied by the overgrowth of the skin of the scrotum – Elephantiasis.
NOTE: 2. The name is loosely applied in Tamil to several different diseases of the testicles and their coverings without distinction.
